Slava De Gouveia RD (SA)

Slava De Gouveia RD (SA) is a clinical dietitian registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, the Health and Care Professions Council in the UK and the Association for Dietetics in South Africa. She is also accredited with DNAnalysis and has extensive experience both in clinical nutrition as well as dietary counseling.

She completed her Bachelors in Dietetics at the University of Pretoria in 2009. She simultaneously worked at the High Performance Centre of the University of Pretoria, for a year, providing nutrition education to elite athletes.

She has been a clinical dietitian for 8 years, working in intensive care, internal medicine, oncology, surgery and pediatrics.

She was the consultant dietitian for Ella’s Kitchen: Organic Baby Food & has contributed to multiple publications.

Special interests in the fields of:

Nutrigenomics & Nutrigenetics

Nutrition through the lifecycle including pregnancy and maternal nutrition, breastfeeding, introduction of solids, toddler and childhood related nutrition concerns (like childhood obesity, ADD, ADHD, picky eating & allergies), healthy eating for adolescents, adults and the elderly.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Extensive experience in the dietary management of:
